2011 Courses in Swedish Lapland
I'm pleased to let you all know that my good friend, Kevin Warrington, is now offering courses, activities and products at his cabin in Swedish Lapland. Some of you will remember that I spent some time with Kevin earlier this year immediately following my trip with Ray Mears. Kevin managed National Nature Reserves here in the UK before moving permanently to Sweden. He is located close to an area of true wilderness and great beauty and I would encourage you to take this opportunity to learn more about Sweden, it's wildlife, native indigenous culture and way of life. Click here to visit Kevin's web site and find out more.
Nearly famous...
I thought regular readers would be interested to know that I have been linking up with Jack and Matt who have taken over Barley Wood Cafe with their special brand 'The Ethicurean'. Whatever happens, Jack, Matt and I enjoyed working together and will be continuing with foraging and cooking courses at Barley Wood, the first of which is this Sunday. Please contact Barley Wood 01934 863713 for details. Barley Wood

2010 Autumn Foraging
Well, it's a fantastic year for fungi! We have had some great days
out collecting from nature's larder, with parasols, chanterelles, ceps and
puffballs to name a few. Also, plenty of crab apples and rosehips to make
that essential apple and rosehip jelly to go with roast pork in the winter.
We have also been making sloe gin, and experimenting with other fruits...

A wonderful day was had by all, visiting Brown Cow Organics at Perridge
Farm, Pilton last month. We had some enthusiastic participants in the farm

and the weather was great! We are looking forward to next year. Below, a
photo of Adrian with Judith.
